As part of our continuous innovation and improvement of Watermmead Stay Ltd, we are offering messaging functionalities to you and guests.we are issuing Data Privacy and Messaging Guidelines, which clarify our respective obligations regarding the processing of personal data and allow us to keep providing you with Watermmead Stay Ltd booking services. By continuing to use the Watermmead Stay Ltd services, you agree to the Data Privacy and Messaging Guidelines. Unless you have asked us not to we will store and use your personal details for future marketing purposes (for example, sending you a brochure or details of a promotion via email). You are generally entitled to ask us (by letter or e-mail) what details of yours are being held or processed, for what purpose and to whom they may be or have been disclosed. In certain limited circumstances we are entitled to refuse your request. Additionally, OUR COOKIE POLICY – As part of the new data protection laws we are required to let you know when we use any kind of tracking devices or ‘cookies’ on our website. We use three types of Cookie – Session cookies: These are temporary and are deleted as soon as you close your browser. WHICH COUNTRY’S LAWS APPLY TO ANY DISPUTES? If you are a consumer, please note that these terms of use, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction except that if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.

PRICING AND DEPOSITS – We offer a full range of packages and pricing, which can be found on any of the travel agent’s sites that we use, or by booking directly through our website.Our packages and pricing will fluctuate depending on availability and demand at any given time. All prices are subject to change without notice and are subject to availability and are inclusive of breakfast, service or VAT (at the current prevailing rate) if specified in writing. Your price is guaranteed once you have received our confirmation email. The cost of the first night’s stay is required as a deposit.

PROMOTIONAL RATES – These rates will require a promotion code. Separate terms and conditions may apply which will take precedence over these Terms.

For the avoidance of doubt, your price does not include any incidental charges which you may incur during your stay. Such charges will be payable by you on your departure and, in the event that you fail to pay any such incidental charges, you irrevocably authorise us to debit your credit or debit card the amount of any shortfall.AVAILABILITY – During seasonality, Bank holidays, social events, and at various times throughout the year, certain rates may not be available. Certain dates may be subject to a minimum length of stay. All rates are subject to availability.

SINGLE GUESTS –individual guests may book a double or twin room for sole occupancy.

GUEST BEHAVIOUR – Guests are requested to conduct themselves appropriately at all times and to comply with Company procedures and/or requests with regard to conduct and respect for the property of the Hotel, its employees and guests and their health and safety. Guests are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests, the smooth running of the Hotel, or cause offence to other guests or our members of staff.Only Guests registered to a specific bedroom number, may be in that room. We strictly forbid parties or gatherings and the playing of loud music/Tv’s in the Bedrooms. Please open and close doors quietly and respect all of our guests, at all times, but particularly when coming in and out of the building between 11.00pm and 8.00am. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from the Hotel if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider any of these provisions to have been breached, and or complaints of disturbance. Where this is the case we shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred.

DAMAGE – We reserve the right and you hereby authorise us to charge you for any damage incurred to your room or the Hotel, during your stay (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing or damaged when you leave. Please do not stick up or pin any items to the walls or doors.

LOST KEYS – We reserve the right and you hereby authorise us, to charge you £100 per Key, for any Lost Keys, or Keys not handed in at Check Out

NO SMOKING – Guests are not permitted to smoke in rooms or public areas at the Hotel, nor in the external entrance lobby. This also includes e-cigarettes and Vaping devices. Smoking in our premises, or tampering with any Fire detection systems will result in a £200 fine payable at the time and prior to departure, which allows for the specialist cleaning of the bedroom/area and towards any loss of revenue we incur, as a result of not being able to re-let the bedroom. You will be asked to leave the accommodation, with no refund for any remaining days stay outstanding/unused.

CANDLES AND OTHER FLAMMABLE MATERIALS OR SUBSTANCES – Use of candles, tea lights, hot oils or any other burning or flammable materials/substances is strictly forbidden anywhere within the building. Guests found with any such materials or evidence of prior use of such materials/substances may be asked to leave with immediate effect without the possibility of refund.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE – Bedrooms are available to CHECK IN from 4.00pm on the day of arrival until 8.00pm. CHECK OUT time is by 10.00am on the day of departure. These times may be varied from time to time at our discretion.In the interests of security and to prevent fraud, at the time of check-in, guests may be required to confirm their identity by providing their booking reference and their Credit Card/Passport/Identity Card/Driving Licence.

FORCE MAJEURE – The Watermmead Stay Ltd accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, Pandemic Viruses, Natural disasters, Flooding, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY – Watermmead Stay Ltd will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any property left in the Hotel other than as required under the Hotel Proprietor’s Act 1956 or any other applicable law.

Watermmead Stay Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or pure economic loss or any loss of profit, goodwill or opportunity (whether caused by the negligence of No.98, its employees, contractor or agents or otherwise). Watermmead Stay Ltd s total liability shall not exceed the value of the charges received by it under the Contract. Nothing contained in the Contract or in any other document referred to or incorporated in it shall be read or construed as excluding any liability for death or personal injury caused by Watermmead Stay Ltd s negligence or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

ACCESS STATEMENT – The Bed and Breakfast accommodation is a victorian building which forms part of Chards conservation area. Access to the Guest House from the pavement into the foyer. The less mobile should be aware most rooms entail at least 19 steps to access– Contact can be made by telephone, e-mail or personal visit to book rooms or request information. Advice can be provided on the style of bedroom required, along with car parking and public transport information.

Arrival & Car Parking – Check in times are strictly between 4.00pm and 8.00pm. We reserve the right to not accept the booking at any time.

On site car parking is available subject to availability.

Main Entrance & Reception – Help with luggage and form filling.

Public Areas -No lift, Flooring is either carpet or hard flooring

Stairs over two floors all with bannister rails.

Bedrooms – Fire information in all rooms

Level entry to bedrooms from landings – Good lighting, Independent heating control with extra heating available on request, Showers are stepped

Minimum age for single room occupancy is: 16 (when accompanying an Adult), 18 (unaccompanied)

Breakfast Room – The breakfast room is situated on the ground floor.We can help the visually impaired with their choices

PARKING

Watermead House – it’s owners, staff or agents, accept no liability for your vehicle or its contents whilst using the parkingvouchers provided throughout your stay.

PARKING FINES – Please pay particular attention to the regulations in local pay and display car parks. Watermead House , its owners, staff or agents cannot be held responsible for Parking Fines incurred through incorrect parking, or be held responsible for any damage incurred to your car in these public car park.Parking is entirely at your own risk.PLEASE VERIFY WITH US IF YOU HAVE ANY QUERIES.

CANCELLATIONS

If you choose the non-refundable rate you are not entitled to a refund and should you wish to cancel 100% is still due. There are no exceptions to this.

All other bookings require the first nights payment as a deposit. The remaining balance is due seven days before arrival. You can cancel any time up 2359hrs seven days before arrival and receive your deposit back . Any later than this and 100% is due.

Cancellations must be made in writing or e-mail.

Life is full of surprises, so we strongly recommend you take out appropriate travel insurance, to make sure you are covered for all eventualities as there are no exceptions to our cancellation policy.

CURTAILMENT

Guests wishing to leave Watermead House , prior to the booked end date of their stay, do so entirely at their own discretion. However, In such cases the cost of the booking will stand and no negotiation will be entered into regarding refunds.

NON ARRIVAL

Guests who fail to arrive for a booking, and who haven’t called to cancel as per the cancellations policy above will be required to pay the whole cost of the stay.

OCCUPANCY LIMITS

The room(s) you book with us have a specific occupancy limit as determined by Fire safety regulations and limits placed upon us by our insurance. When you book room(s) with us your booking tells us how many people are in each room under the standard operating limits of (Double room, Twin room, Superior Room, Deluxe Room, Deluxe Suite= max 2 people),If on arrival or at sometime during your stay someone joins you in any particular room, the number of people cannot exceed the maximum number aforementioned and in all cases you must immediately find a member of staff and advise them of the change in Occupancy in your room, and additional charges will apply and those persons will need to be added to the Fire Safety Log.

VAT Invoices

When full payment for direct bookings is received a VAT invoice is available digitally upon request for the full amount . For bookings via OTA's an invoice is available but will only be for the nett amount received from the OTA,  this is because OTA's charges do not include VAT..

The less mobile can be accommodated in the first floor bedrooms (which is down up 19 steps).
